He passes the ball, and as the U20 defenders move to stop Isagi, they leave an opening for Otoya to break through and act as bait so Isagi can shoot -- or maybe he’ll pass it to Rin as Sae leaves to mark Otoya. If he doesn’t, it’s a pass to Yukimiya.
Except it doesn’t.

And then he’s
falling.
He tries to catch himself on his right leg but it’s a clumsy slide tackle from Ryusei Shidou, who doesn’t care what he destroys, so instead his right leg is taken right out from under him and there’s nothing stopping him from hitting the ground.
There’s nothing stopping him from shattering like glass.
Chigiri gets fouled badly during the U20 match and, for a moment, he thinks it's all over again.
