“I’m Mikage Reo, son of Athena. Nice to meet you.” He held out his hand, fervently hoping his palms weren’t as sweaty as they felt.
“Nagi Seishiro, son of Morpheus.” the boy replied with a soft hum. He reached out and took the hand Reo offered, but instead of shaking it, he intertwined their fingers and kept a relaxed hold on them.
The gesture was so unexpected Reo almost stumbled back, wondering what face he was making, what this must look like from the outsider’s point of view. Two strangers with two stone tablets and three things between them, matching halves of a griffin and, inexplicably, the ease with which their hands fit together.
